Abstract
Adrenalec-tomized rats receiving adrenal cortical extract (ACE) and de-soxycorticosterone (DCA), or ACE alone, were immunized with Type 1S (Dawson M) Pneumococci, and subsequently with washed sheep erythrocytes. Circulating antibody as measured by the quantitative precipitin test was slightly higher in the normal controls than in the adrenalectomized animals. Electrophoretic analyses of the sera revealed no differences in the [gamma] globulin levels of either group. Keywords
