THE ACTION OF HUMAN CHORIONIC GONADOTROPHIN PREPARATIONS ON THE ADRENALS AND TESTICLES OF HYPOPHYSECTOMIZED IMMATURE RATS

Abstract
In the absence of the testes, massive doses of crystalline human chorionic gonadotrophin cause no increase in the adrenal wt., and do not restore secondary sex characteristics. Only a moderate increase in testis wt. occurs even with very large doses. Restoration of spermatogenesis did not occur.
