Abstract
The Fredholm integral equation method is applied to the scattering of electromagnetic waves by finite dielectric cylinders of circular cross section. The method is applied to a wide range of diameter/length ratios, including both rods and discs. Generally good agreement has been obtained with the experimental backscatter measurements of McCormick and Hendry. Keywords
