Compliance of articular cartilage in its variation through the thickness

Abstract
Compression tests on human patellar cartilage reveal a variation of compliance through the thickness. In most specimens the majority of the deformation takes place in the region near the surface, with sometimes an additional major contribution from the deep region near the bone.This publication has 20 references indexed in Scilit:
