Abstract
SUMMARY The efficiency of the utilization of the energy of casein in adult fowls at different feeding levels both for maintenance and for lipogenesis, was studied. The casein was utilized for maintenance with an efficiency of 66·6 ± 1·3% of the gross energy and of 83·7 ± 1·4% of the metabolizable energy. For lipogenesis efficiencies were 51·6 ± 2·15%, and 61·3 ± 2·6% respectively. Keywords
