Abstract
It is shown that the result of a recent calculation by M. Dupuis, R. Mazo, and L. Onsager [J. Chem. Phys. 5, 1452 (1960)] for very low temperatures, is in exact agreement with the low temperature limit of an earlier treatment [Phil. Mag. 44, 519 (1953)] by the present author after correction of two minor errors in the latter calculation. Keywords
