Search forKS→π+π−π0

Abstract
A search for KS decaying into the final state π+ππ0 has been made by studying the time distribution of 3π decays of neutral K mesons produced in the reaction K+dK0pp. On the basis of 99 3π events, we find for the complex parameter x+iy, the ratio of the amplitude Ks3π to the amplitude KL3π, x=0.47±0.20, y=0.100.32+0.37. Our result is consistent with no KS decays into π+ππ0 and no CP violation. Assuming x=y=0, we obtain ΓL(3π)=(2.71±0.28)×106 sec1.
