Über die Gallensäure der Kaninchengalle.

Abstract
The authors obtained in the winter time 500 cc. of bile from the gall bladders of 550 rabbits. From this, 31 gm. of crude precipitate of cholic acids was obtained. This gave 18 grams of crystalline material that by melting point, analysis and rotation proved to be desoxycholic acid. At the same time 3000 cc. of fistula bile from the rabbit gave only .5 gm. of cholic acid and no measurable desoxycholic acid.
