Abstract
The effect of insoluble glucan synthesized by Streptococcus mutans on [3H]arachidonate metabolites secretion from peritoneal macrophages was studied. Insoluble glucans stimulated [3H]arachidonate release and secretion of prostaglandin E2 and thromboxane B2 from macrophages. In contrast, commercial soluble glucan (dextran) did not induce [3H]arachidonate release. Keywords
