Abstract
Temperature dependences of magnetization and magnetic anisotropy were investigated in Fe/Pt compositionally modulated multilayer films (CMF's) prepared by rf sputtering method. The magnitude of surface magnetic anisotropy Ks of Fe/Pt CMF's is nearly equal to that of Co/Pt CMF's at 77 K and room temperature. Absolute value of volume magnetic anisotropy KV of Fe/Pt CMF's is about two times as large as that of Co/Pt CMF's. The Ks obtained from the CMF's with thick Fe layer thickness seems almost constant against temperature. However, the KV decreases gradually with temperature increases in Fe/Pt CMF's. The relation between the saturation magnetization Ms (T) and the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy K⊥ (T)a re discussed. Keywords
