Televex-Tape-Kinescopy and Cineradiography

Abstract
Television tape is a proved method of routine recording of the fluoroscopic image. Its major advantages lie in low radiation levels for recording and in the availability of immediate playback. Objective testing is needed for valid comparisons of television taped recordings and cinefluorographs. If television viewing of the fluoroscopic image is preferred to old fashioned darkroom fluoroscopic methods, and if fluoroscopy is to be used as a method of accurate diagnosis and study rather than as a means of positioning for spot-films, then it seems reasonable to apply methods specifically designed for recording the television signal and to take full advantage of the television age.
