Abstract
The association of abnormal low frequency rhythms in the EEG with intellectual deterioration in old age has now often been described, but there has been no clear indication of a quantitative correlation between the degree of abnormality of the EEG and the severity of the deterioration. The present paper describes an attempt to explore the possibility of the existence of such a quantitative correlation. Keywords
