A Simple Method for the Stabilization of Malignant Spines

Abstract

This paper describes a method of stabilizing the spine severely destroyed by metastatic disease. The method is simple and inexpensive and uses the combination of acrylic cement and a custom made stainless steel bar. A special bending tool is described which is essential for accurate forming of the stainless steel bar.
