Abstract
The paper gives a survey of developments over the last decade in the methods of investigation into the structure of ferromagnetic domains and the authors discuss the results in relation to present-day theoretical ideas on domain structure. Examples of the application of methods using Bitter patterns, electron microscopy and magneto-optical effects are given for a wide variety of materials ranging from metallic single crystals to polycrystalline ferrites. Keywords
