POSTBULBAR DUODENAL ULCER

Abstract
In a series of 99 cases of postbulbar duodenal ulcer a history typical of duodenal ulcer was apparent in two thirds of the patients. An atypical, though suggestive, history of ulcer was noted in 16%. Pain was absent in 16%. The incidence of complications of postbulbar duodenal ulcer was essentially the same as that for the more common type of duodenal ulcer, except there was a twofold increase in the incidence of bleeding.
