Abstract
Samples from a clay deposit several feet above high-tide level contained 43 spp. of Foraminifera and 41 spp. of Mollusca. The faunal association is similar to that of the present day, is marine, and probably lived at a depth of 2-3 fathoms. It closely resembles that of another deposit in Skye, and is thought to be Holocene rather than Pleistocene. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
