Abstract
A novel bipy derivative of cyclam (L1) designed for controlled and systematic polynuclear metal complex formation is reported; fluorescence quenching of the [Ru(bipy)3]2+ core of [(bipy)2Ru(L1)]2+ upon coordination of CuII at the cyclam cavity is demonstrated.Keywords
