Abstract
The author presents 3 staining techniques based on the use of a formalin fixed tissue and paraffin section. These consist of a Nissl stain, a myelin sheath stain and an ammoniacal silver hydroxide measure. All 3 procedures are simple to perform and require only a short time. These stains may be used upon both normal and pathological tissues from man and animals. They are recommended for any investigative work in exptl. neurology and for routine studies in neuropathology.
