Abstract
The antiviral drug arabinosyladenine inhibited cellular growth and DNA synthesis in an adenosine deaminase-negative cell line (B-mix K-44/6). Use of adenosine deaminase-containing calf serum in the culture medium reversed the drug-induced inhibition and resulted in a recovery of both mitosis and the rate of DNA synthesis. Keywords
