Relative Effectiveness of X-Rays and Fast Neutrons in Retarding Growth

Abstract

Fast neutrons and x-rays both retard the linear growth of the roots of wheat seedlings. In the production of this effect. one ionization unit of fast neutrons is equivalent to several such units of x-rays.
