Abstract
We calculate the phase distribution of a highly squeezed state using both a definition of a phase eigenstate and the area-of-overlap principle. This probability curve undergoes a transition from a single- to a double-peaked distribution when we decrease the product of squeeze and displacement parameters. Keywords
