Density of quantum states of ion–molecule association complex and temperature dependence of radiative association coefficient

Abstract

The density of states of ion‐molecule association complexes is derived. The RRKM formulae give the ratio of the total partition function of the association complex to the product of the total partition function of the ion and the molecule. From these, the density of states is deduced. (AIP)
