Abstract
Carcinoma cells were found in the marrow of 70% of the patients studied. Anemia was found in 88% of the patients, in whom there was no evidence of marrow replacement or aplasia. There was evidence of slight increase in hemolysis in 52%. In 12 of 13 patients a shortened life span of the erythrocytes was indicated by the Ashby technique, which proved to be a sensitive method of detecting hemolysis. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
