Abstract
HEMS, the high-level entity management system, is an internetwork management protocol designed to work with the TCP-IP protocol suite. HEMS expects each node on a network to support a virtual management database and provides database query language primitives that allow remote users to modify the database. A detailed overview of the system is presented. Keywords
