The Resistance of Citrus Thrips to Tartar Emetic—Sucrose Treatment

Abstract
Thrips collected in the resistant area of the San Fernando Valley were compared with thrips in the upland district on sprayed abscised leaves. While the expt. was not extensive, it furnished rather striking evidence that citrus thrips from these 2 localities differ greatly in their ability to survive on leaves sprayed with tartar emetic and sucrose.
