THE EFFECTS OF RESERPINE ON HISTAMINE TOLERANCE AND ENDOCRINE ORGANS OF THE RAT

Abstract
1. Reserpine administration resulted in a rise in histamine tolerance of male rats as evidenced by a rise in histamine LD50. 2. This increase in histamine LD50 is characteristic of small doses of reserpine; larger doses resulted in an increased treatment of period mortality, marked endocrine and body weight losses.
