Abstract
The line is analyzed in a dense plasma of produced in a -pinch discharge. The line is shifted by up to 9 Å to the red, and the profile is strongly modulated. This modulation is attributed to the effect of collective fields of different frequency distributions, one being of the order of . The shift is density dependent and agrees with available theoretical calculations.
