THE HALF-LIFE OF Sr90

Abstract
The value of 27.7 ± 0.4 years has been obtained for the half-life of Sr90 from the absolute disintegration rate of a known number of atoms. The disintegration rate was measured with a 4π proportional counter and the number of atoms was determined with a mass spectrometer using isotope dilution.Keywords
