Diet and Disease in the Bantu

Abstract
Liver cirrhosis, tuberculosis and deficiency diseases are widespread in the Bantu. Primary liver carcinoma and stomach cancer prevail in the [male], carcinoma of the genital system in the [female]. These diseases are particularly due to dietary insufficiencies as shown by widespread lesions and failure of growth in rats fed the common Bantu diet.
