Abstract
Theories of electron-impact broadening have previously neglected the radiation produced by the perturbing electrons. In this paper a theory is developed to take the perturber radiation into account, and so to evaluate possible interference terms. These may lead to observable asymmetries of lines of ionized emitters. Keywords
