Abstract
Kinetic theory of phase transitions in which embryos of the new phase may grow or diminish by the acquisition or loss of monomer and dimer is presented. The error committed in neglecting the latter is shown to be negligible except in systems in which a large fraction of the old phase is present in the form of dimer. Keywords
