One of 12 strains of Bacterium lepisepticum was found to contain heterophile antigen. Three strains of the hemorrhagic septicemia group of organisms isolated from guinea pigs did not contain heterophile antigen. One strain of B. avisepticus and three strains of B. bronchisepticus did not contain heterophile antigen.
