The study included habitat, distribution, associated spp., and variability. Seed production depends on environment but is usually small and the germination is usually very low. Seedlings are rare and reproduction mainly by rhizomes. Root development is dependent on soil conditions, especially aeration and reaction. Flower structure and pollination are described. The structure of the fruit and its relation to seed dispersal are discussed.
