Abstract
We have used a novel technique to assess the transport of cations across the erythrocyte membranein vivoin unmedicated patients suffering an acute manic illness. The results show that erythrocyte cation transport via the sodium-pump enzyme Na+,K+-ATPase is increased in manic patients compared with healthy controls.This publication has 34 references indexed in Scilit:
