A method is presented for tattoo removal by superficial dermabrasion. This procedure can be done easily and quickly in the office with low patient risk, good pigment removal, and little or no scar formation. Results of the treatment are illustrated with three typical cases. The inflammatory reaction achieves the removal of the pigment, and the probable mechanism is elaborated.
