Abstract

The intermetallic compound Li₇Sn₃ has been prepared and its crystal structure determined. It crystallizes monoclinic, space group P 21/m—G_2h ², a = 9.45 ± 0.01 A, b = 8.56 ± 0.01 Å, c = 4.72 ± 0.01 Å, γ = 105.95° ± 0.05 in a variant of the cubic I-lattice.
