An increased uptake is found in the pineal gland, medulla oblongata, cortex cerebri, hypothalamus and thalamus, as compared with hypophysectomized controls. A decreased uptake is found in the pancreas, diaphragm and adrenal medulla. The uptakes by the adrenal cortex, blood, liver, thyroid, pons and cerebellum are virtually unaltered.
