A Hertzsprung-Russell diagram for stellar oscillations

Abstract

I present evolutionary tracks and curves of constant central hydrogen abundance in diagrams based on frequencies of high-order, low-degree p modes. For stars with masses between 0.7 and 1.5 M_⊙, a clean separation is obtained between the effects of varying mass and varying evolutionary state.
