Abstract
Lesions were placed in the thalamus of a series of cats. Daily temp. records, and exposure to high and low temps. revealed no disturbances in temp. regulation. Both thermal and decorticate panting were elicited even though the caudo-dorsal portion of the medial thalamus had been destroyed. At the level of and just caudal to the mammillary bodies the descending paths from the hypothalamus which are concerned with temp. regulation must lie near the ventral surface of the brain. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
