Quadrupole Moments of First Excited States inSi28,S32, andAr40

Abstract
Static quadrupole moments of the first excited states of Si28, S32, and Ar40 have been measured using the reorientation effect in projectile Coulomb excitation. The results obtained are Q(Si28, 2+)=+0.11±0.05 b, Q(S32, 2+)=0.20±0.06 b, and Q(Ar40, 2+)=+0.01±0.04 b.
