Abstract
Fibrillar formations similar to those recently described by de Petris et al. in phagocytic monocytes were observed consistently in reticulum cells and endothelial cells in a variety of normal and abnormal bone marrows. The fibrils were also noted in malignant cells, including those of 3 lymphomas, 1 undifferentiated leukemia, and in 2 cases tentatively identified as reticulosis. The occurrence of fibrillar formations may possibly provide a clue to the classification of malignancies of the hematopoietic system. Keywords
