Zur Morphologie und Systematik der Gattung Paramesostoma Attems (Turbellaria Typhloplanoida)

Abstract
On the Anatomy and Systematics of the Genus Paramesostoma Attems (Turbellaria Typhloplanoida). The anatomy of Paramesostoma helgolandicum and P. neapolitanum is described on material from the North Sea and the Black Sea respectively. Most characteristic are the two independent complexes of atrial organs, the female in front of the male complex with asymmetrically situated genital pores. A hypothesis is presented on egg-formation between ventral body wall and substrate, the female antrum appearing inappropriate for this purpose. The species P. pachydermum is a synonym of P. neapolitanum.
