Abstract
Water-solubility studies were made with aldrin, dieldrin, heptachlor, and heptachlor epoxide. The solubility curves indicate an initial drop followed by a significant increase in solubility occurring during the first 3 or 4 days before a plateau is reached. The times needed to establish this equilibrium were: aldrin and heptachlor 7 days; dieldrin 4 days; and heptachlor expoxide 10 days. The solubilities in water of aldrin, diedrin, heptachlor, and heptachlor epoxide were found to be 0.027, 0.186, 0.056, and 0.350 ppm, respectively. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
