Abstract
We investigated the change of properties and cathode performance for LiMn1.5Ni0.5O4 as a 5 V class cathode material by changing of synthetic method and heat treatment. The materials synthesized by solid-state method and sol-gel method. Furthermore, the sample of solid-state method was annealed at high . Mn valence and oxygen content for samples of sol-gel method or annealed at high increased compared to the sample of solid-state method. The charge and discharge curves for the sample of sol-gel method and annealed at high appeared 4.7 V vs. Li plateau and disappeared at 4.1 V vs. Li plateau. These materials show a good cycle performance. Keywords
