Abstract
During a 2-yr period, 1660 ultrasound B-scan examinations of the [human] breast were performed using water path techniques. In this study 123 primary breast malignancies and 7 different tumor types were confirmed. The prebiopsy descriptive ultrasound criteria of the 104 cancers demonstrated by ultrasound was compared with the results of their pathologic evaluation. In addition, the fibrous, epithelial and mucin content of 60 carcinomas was correlated with the descriptive ultrasound criteria. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
