The Influence of Different Contrast Media for Cholegraphy on Blood Pressure and Pulse Rate

Abstract

Intra-arterial blood pressure measurements together with synchronous ecg records were performed in connection with intravenous cholegraphy. Peroral cholegraphy with Solu-Biloptin or Bilijodon-Natrium was also per-formed in 11 control cases. A fall in blood pressure was observed in all the intravenous cholegraphy cases but not in the peroral cholegraphy cases. The risks and advantages of the 2 methods are discussed.
