Abstract
Polymer optical fiber amplifiers (POFA) of graded‐index (GI) type, which have a gain in visible region, were successfully prepared by the interfacial‐gel polymerization technique. The gain of 27 dB was observed at 591 nm signal wavelength with 690 W launched pump power at 532 nm in a GI POFA with 0.5 m length. Keywords
