THE RELATIVE MUTABILITY OF THE cnb LOCI IN HYPOMYCES

Abstract
One hundred mutants of Hypomyces solani f. cucurbitae, an ascomycete, were genetically analyzed and classified in 5 groups depending on the tolerant mutant gene present. Of the 5 loci, 2 were recognized for the 1st time and shown to be much less mutable than those previously studied. One of these new loci was located in the 1st linkage group which also contains the mating type locus.
