Abstract
T. latifolia ([chi] = 15) is characterized by regular meiosis and morphologically perfect pollen. T. angustifolia shows irregularities in meiosis and abortive pollen grains. Intermediate forms, where the 2 species range together, are featured by varying degrees of meiotic irregularity and sterile pollen. Both T. angustifolia and the intermediates reveal abnormalities characteristic of hybrids. T. angustifolia var. muelleri, from New Zealand, is diploid ([chi]=30).This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
