Abstract
High-spin states in Cr have been investigated with the reaction at 130 MeV bombarding energy, using the 4 GASP -ray array plus the 4 charged-particle detector ISIS. The level scheme has been extended up to the 18 state at 17.954 MeV excitation energy. Several high-spin states which deexcite by emitting high energy -rays have been identified. A second backbending is observed at , well above the 14 state which exhausts the total spin available in a pure configuration.
